Currently working on fixing some of the known issues below, but my next goal is to integrate Mod Configuration Tool, so you can pick which changes you want and which you don’t!ĬOMPATIBILITY: This mod is script based, so unlike many other starting position mods which change startpos directly, it coexists with other mods, even many that change startpos files like Mixu Unlocker and Immortal Landmarks! However, any mods that do similiar things (moving/adding lords, changing settlements, etc.) may lead to a messy starting position or conflicts if both mods are moving the same things around or in the same regions, as this was balanced with Vanilla in mind. You can see the full list of changes below. This is a tweak, not an overhaul – most factions’ starting positions are fine and were left untouched. I tried to follow CA’s formula and made sure each faction has a weak nearby enemy to fight an intro battle with and then swiftly expand. My goal was to make the starting world a little bit more lore accurate, while still maintaining game balance and a diversity of races in each region. Certain lore oddities like no Daemons in the entire Southern Wastes, and gameplay imbalances such as Malus taking over the entire Northern Wastes, the upper Southlands being a bit too crowded, and Empire/Kislev being too chaotic inspired me to make this mod. ChatGPT may offer this reason - at least until Google rolls out its competitor to a wider audience.DESCRIPTION: This mod tweaks the starting positions in Immortal Empires to be, in my opinion, more balanced and loreful. It was always good enough, but that doesn’t give users a reason to switch. And while Bing was always a competent search engine (and arguably better than most people ever gave it credit for), it never really gained mainstream traction. After its initial $1 billion investment, the company recently announced that it would invest even more and extend its partnership with OpenAI, which in turn led to today’s announcement. Microsoft obviously has a very close relationship with OpenAI. What Microsoft is essentially doing here is taking the OpenAI models and then wrap Prometheus and other Bing technologies around it. Microsoft stressed that it is using a new version of GPT that is able to provide more relevant answers, annotate these and provide up-to-date results, all while providing a safer user experience. You can still use it just like before, but now enhanced with AI. It’s also worth stressing that the old, link-centric version of Bing isn’t going away. Every result will also include a feedback option.
